FEATURED LOVE MY BOYS THE GOOD LIFE

No Rush Halloween

Forever My Babies

I was so conflicted on what the boys should be for Halloween this year.  With them being 3 and almost 2 I kind of felt like this might be my last year to dress them up as something really cutesy.  Last year they were dinosaurs so I thought maybe I could dress them up as little puppy dogs or monkeys.  This might be the last year that I get to decide for my oldest before he starts making his own demands.  This might be the last year that Halloween costumes make the boys look like little babies before dressing up makes them look more like little boys.

Where does the time go?

It all goes so quickly!  Whether fortunate enough to stay at home and watch our children grow every moment of the day, or strong enough to work and serve double duty with our children by our sides…

it all goes by so quickly!

Every milestone they reach can be so bittersweet because they are moving forward and yet leaving that simplicity of being a baby behind.  But they are always ours.  When I was little I had the book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch that says

“I’ll love you forever
I’ll like you for always
As long as I’m living
My baby you’ll be.”

I like to tell my special lil guys this.  My oldest will even say that he is Dadda’s big boy but that he is Momma’s lil baby.  I know that they have to grow up and I do encourage it…I do, but I just don’t want to rush it.  I want to enjoy every stage of life that they are passing through because before I know it they will be buying Halloween costumes for their little ones.

Look for a very excited Spiderman & Superman in a neighborhood near you
